The Powering Lewes discussion at the Linklater last night was very well attended and outlined details of some very inspiring local developments:
These include: the Rampion offshore windfarm, the Ovesco/Harveys solar roof, LDC plans for photovoltaics for local social housing and a planning application for an anaerobic disgester to deliver local energy to schools and leisure buildings from local restaurant and other waste.. the fertiliser by product enriching our local soil.
The Brighton Eco Energy Fair asked me to distribute the following this morning:
One of their exhibitors Southdowns Solar are offering free electrical efficiency surveys during April to commercial premises in Sussex, this includes a full report along with reccommended actions to save money, improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon footprint. Details of a good range of local energy companies can be found at www.ecoenergyfair.org.uk
The Super eco homes of Ann Link and Jill Goulder are open this weekend for real down to earth advice about how to retrofit old homes to generate new energy... see village connections events
