At the last Sustainable Sussex meeting - , Tony Whitbread of the Sussex Wildlife Trust drew attention to the opportunity we all have to contribute to the Government consultation for the Natural Environment White Paper - An invitation to shape the Nature of England.
He explained that this paper will look carefully at how the environment underpins our economy, health and well-being... and is so convinced that this could be a major turning point in how nature is valued that he asked that:
"If you plan to do only one thing for nature in the next decade then engagement with the White Paper should be that thing!"
Everyone has the chance to contribute to the national discussion by responding to these 4 questions at the link below:
1.Which parts of the natural environment matter most to you?
2.How do you feel you benefit from the natural environment?
3.How do you think we could improve the natural environment?
4.What would encourage you to get involved in protecting the natural environment?
